AAUP-Oregon Annual Meeting

Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 11 at the Sylvania Campus of Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon from 10am-4pm. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend! Coffee and lunch will be provided. There is no cost for registration. The Annual Meeting will feature sessions on: reshaping our universities’ boards of trustees collective bargaining organizing against austerity at Oregon’s public and private universities the higher education legislative landscape Our Annual Meeting brings together AAUP-Oregon members and allies to share best practices within their unions and chapters. Proposed Constitution  Changes

The following AAUP-Oregon Constitution amendments will be subject to a vote of approval at the May 11 Annual Meeting. Full text of proposed revisions may be found here. Summary of Proposed Changes: Move the date when newly elected officers assume their positions from the date of the Annual Meeting to the date of the Summer Executive Committee meeting. This change will prevent a change in leadership (especially the President and VP for Political Action) from occurring in the middle of a legislative session.
