Higher Education Coalition Summit

The Higher Education Coalition consists of the Oregon Student Association and the labor unions representing Oregon’s higher education faculty, staff, and graduate employees—AAUP-Oregon, American Federation of Teachers-Oregon, Service Employees International Union 503, and Oregon Education Association. Together, we work to secure legislation that protects and promotes the important role of higher education in Oregon. To see some of our successes in the recent legislative session read the Legislative Session Summary below. In addition to working on legislative pursuits, the HEC works to bring together member from across campuses and across constituencies to strategize around improving public higher education. Our annual Higher Education Coalition Summit will be held on Sunday, October 22 at the Tunison Community Room in Corvallis. We’ll begin the Summit with lunch at 11:30 and wrap up by 3pm.
